Sean Brady, CPA
Sean is the Chief Operations Officer of DMS. He has been in public accounting since 2010 and earned his CPA in 2011. He is passionate about leadership and running a business that provides great service for its clients and opportunities for his team.
Sean is a problem solver, a motivator and an optimist with a focus on the future and the long-term goals of his clients and his own team. He believes that every business owner needs access to accurate and timely reporting to facilitate decision making to build the business they strive for and to build a better tomorrow. Constant improvement is in Sean’s DNA and he ferociously seeks ways implement thought trends and technology to build a better business.
Sean knows that good decisions come from good accounting and reporting, but he wants to go beyond that to make the lives of his clients easier by adopting accounting processes and technology, and by developing their accounting teams (internal and external) to help his clients focus on what is truly important.
Sean focuses on helping closely-held businesses and has a broad range of experiences including auditing, general ledger accounting, tax preparation, tax planning and development and maintenance of future forward accounting information systems and procedures. His industries of focus are real estate and professional services; however he has a deep familiarity with other industries including manufacturing and not-for-profits. Sean prefers to focus his efforts on helping businesses prepare for what is coming - whether it be from an accounting or operations perspective, or related to tax planning, long-term business growth, or succession planning.
Sean is a family man. Outside of work Sean spends most of his time with his wife, kids, and extended family having fun in everything they do. When time allows he enjoys connecting with old friends, getting outdoors, swimming and riding his motorcycle.
Sean loves being a CPA and is committed to the growth and development of the accounting profession. He sits on the Ohio State Society of CPAs’ Work Force Development Committee in an effort to attract the next generation of accountants to the profession and to develop sustainable and appealing careers for accountants as the profession evolves.
Maria is the Chief Onboarding Officer at DMS and has more than 20 years of experience in general accounting. She specializes in multiple accounting packages with a strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, as evidenced by her QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation.
Her extensive experience enables her to provide a seamless transition to QuickBooks based on the client’s specific industry. Maria is also able to work with clients to enhance utilization of an existing QuickBooks installation.
Her clients include a wide range of small businesses with a focus on legal services, retail sales operations, and manufacturing companies. Her knowledge of company operations allows her to collaborate with the client’s management team on forecasting, tax planning, and asset management.
Maria earned her degree from Miami University of Ohio. Maria donates her expertise to non-profit organizations by helping with their 501( c )(3) applications. She enjoys her free time with her family in Vermilion, OH.
Robert Wallish, CPA
Bob is Chief of Quality Control at DMS. Bob has over 15 years of experience as a CPA including an extensive background in Corporate Taxation and Financial Accounting. He has focused on financial statement preparation and review, business combinations and acquisitions and federal, state and local taxation. He is detail-oriented and a problem solver who likes to work in a team setting to achieve the best results.
Bob earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from John Carroll University. He lives in North Royalton with his wife and their son and daughter. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and golfing with his father and brother.
Donna has 25+ years of senior level accounting experience as a financial controller, accounting & tax consultant, and director of taxation. Among her areas of expertise: cash forecasting, managing company assets & liabilities, establishing and improving internal controls, and annual budget & quarterly financial forecasting.
Donna earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Akron and her J.D./M.B.A. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
Donna has a passion for tennis and travel. She is President of the Hoban Parent Teacher Organization and coaches science olympiad teams. Donna lives in Cuyahoga Falls.
Jared is a Financial Controller for DMS. Jared is a licensed CPA who specializes helping small-to-medium sized businesses with consulting needs ranging from tax compliance to financial accounting and reporting. He has helped a wide variety of businesses across multiple industries and enjoys using his expertise to understand the challenges that a business is facing and how to overcome them while also helping a company reach its goals and continue to grow.
Jared is from the west side of Cleveland and still resides there to this day. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Accounting as well as his M.B.A. from the University of Dayton and began his public accounting career in 2017 in downtown Cleveland. Jared enjoys spending his free time either golfing, attending sporting events, or visiting a new restaurant in town with his wife, Maggie.
Laura is a DMS Senior Accounting Manager with over 30 years of experience in general accounting. Her expertise includes financial statement preparation, budgeting, cash forecasts, account reconciliation and analysis, payroll processing, intercompany reconciliation, sales tax, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Laura has worked in a wide range of industries which include Automotive Manufacturing, Environmental, Wind Power, Software/EDI Development and Plastics Manufacturing. She has worked for companies in both the Cleveland area and the East Bay area of California.
Laura earned her accounting degree from Cleveland State University and lives in Garfield Heights with her husband Vince and children, Andrew and Alyssa.
Samantha has over 25 years accounting experience working with companies in many different industries varying from family owned businesses, law firms, and professional sports teams. She has been a company Controller with experience managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll. She has a strong background in IT Managed Services and varying Human Resource functions. Samantha has a Bachelor of Arts from Cleveland State University.
Samantha lives in Avon Lake and enjoys reading, music, the outdoors and spending time with her sons, Nicholas and Noah.
Lisa is a DMS Accounting Manager with 15 years of experience in accounting for small to medium-sized businesses. She has associate degrees in Business and Accounting obtained through Lorain County Community College and the University of Akron.
While working in a small public accounting firm she was exposed to a diverse clientele and became proficient in a number of different industries as well as programs such as Sage, Microsoft Office, Thomson Reuters Suite, Lacerte, and QuickBooks - as evidenced by her QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation.
Her skills include bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, payroll processing, trial balance analysis, auditing experience, small business startup, and tax preparation for individuals and businesses.
Lisa resides in Lorain and in her free time enjoys running and catching up with family and friends.
Val is the Office and Marketing Manager at DMS. Val is an experienced office administrator & marketing professional and has worked for small independent businesses, non-profit organizations, and several regional/national corporations. Her skills include Microsoft Office, database administration, event planning, business communications, WordPress, and social media.
Prior to DMS, Val worked in payroll, human resources, and financial systems implementation and management. The consistent theme through Val’s professional experience is her ability to serve the needs of the organization and its clients with an emphasis on superior customer service.
Val has a Bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College. She lives in Fairview Park with her husband Dave and enjoys spending time with their four children.
Tanya is a DMS Accounting Manager with 10 years of experience in accounting. She has a bachelor's degrees in Accounting, Management, and Finance as well as an MBA from Lourdes University. She recently completed her MSA from Southern New Hampshire University.
Tanya's experiences include full cycle accounting, financial statement preparation and analysis, banking and account reconciliations, inventory and bills of materials analysis and adjustments, key performance indicator tracking, and payroll processing and journal entries. She has spent most of her career in manufacturing.
Tanya lives in Sandusky. She enjoys spending time with her family and reading.
Linda is a DMS Accounting Manager who has over 30 years of experience in general accounting and office administration including financial statement preparation, sales analysis, accounts payable & receivable, account reconciliations and payroll. She has managed the books for a corporate headquarters with over 35 unique and diverse locations and has collaborated with senior executives to develop business plans.
Linda is a detail-oriented and conscientious self-starter who is able to strategize and prioritize effectively. She has extensive experience with QuickBooks and Excel.
Linda lives in Parma. She enjoys traveling with her husband Rick and spending time with her family.
Michael Kline is a native of Youngstown, Ohio. His professional journey began at a regional public accounting firm where he spent three tax seasons before transitioning to corporate accounting. In the corporate sector, Michael has held several positions, including Senior Manager of Treasury and Senior Financial Analyst, contributing his expertise to both private and Fortune 500 companies.
Michael's academic foundation, coupled with a mix of real-world experience, has empowered him to navigate the complexities of financial landscapes with precision. After over 10 years in these roles, Michael discovered that his true passion is consulting with small to medium-sized businesses. He finds joy in crafting precise financial reports and developing comprehensive business models — skills that have become vital aspects of his professional expertise.
Michael attended the University of Arizona, where he was a member of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. Holding a degree from Youngstown State University with a BSBA in accounting, he brings a unique perspective to every engagement at the intersection of financial expertise and a heart for entrepreneurship. Whether optimizing treasury functions or providing strategic financial analysis, Michael is dedicated to driving success for businesses of all sizes.
Michael resides in downtown Cleveland, where he loves trying new restaurants and exploring parks. In his downtime, he enjoys reading, watching documentaries, playing golf, or taking a jog in the park, weather permitting.
Brandy is the Accounting Systems & Implementation Coordinator at DMS with more than 8 years of accounting and implementation experience. Brandy’s love for software implementation started when she helped her previous employer move from Sage 50 to Sage 300 CRE. Since that day, she has been hooked on finding the perfect software package to meet a company’s needs. Brandy has extensive knowledge of Sage 300 CRE, QuickBooks Online, and QuickBooks Desktop. She has a passion for problem solving and creating workflow processes to help streamline the accounting functions of a business.
Brandy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Hiram College. She currently resides on the East Side of Cleveland with her husband Michael and their three cats. Brandy spends her free time traveling and hiking.
Rose is a DMS Staff Accountant with 25 years of accounting experience. She has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Cleveland State University and an MBA from Baldwin-Wallace University.
Rose’s experience includes financial statement preparation, payroll, accounts receivable & payable, budgeting, account reconciliations, consolidations, forecasting and trend analysis. She has spent her career in many industries including not-for-profits, retail, manufacturing, and service industries.
Rose lives in Brook Park and enjoys spending time with her family and pets.
Will is a DMS Staff Accountant with accounting experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with a production company and a Creative Agency, both in London. He has a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Portsmouth (UK).
Will met his wife in the fall of 2019 when she was studying abroad in London. After two and a half years of navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, Will was ultimately able to join her in the US in March 2022 and they were married soon thereafter. Will and his wife live in Westlake.
Tami is a DMS Staff Accountant with 25 years of general accounting experience. She has worked in a variety of industries including non-profit, manufacturing, and healthcare, as well as a variety of organizations ranging from small business to corporate environments. As the Controller for a large non-profit organization, she managed the day-to-day functions of the Finance department including A/R, A/P, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. Tami earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Kent State University.
Tami enjoys reading, going for walks, and enjoying time with her family.
Susan Haynal is a Staff Accountant at DMS. She received her Associate’s degree in Accounting from Lorain County Community Collage and her Bachelor's degree in Operations Management from Tiffin University. Sue has over 30 years of experience working as an Office Manager, Bookkeeper, and Accountant for a variety of companies, primarily specialty contractors.
Sue has three grown children and five grandchildren, and lives in Avon Lake. She enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Stefanie Potts is a Staff Accountant at DMS. She has over 20 years of experience working in many different aspects of a business including roles as an inside and outside sales representative, bookkeeper, office manager, and administrative assistant. She has completed a great deal of coursework in accounting and business administration and is currently working on bookkeeping and payroll accounting certifications.
Stefanie lives in Avon Lake with her husband James, their two children, and their golden doodle Charlie. She also owns her own business selling organic dog treats and is a licensed managing cosmetologist. Stefanie enjoys working out, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
Lindy McDaniel is the Accounting Administrative Assistant at DMS. She has over 15 years of administrative and operations experience with small businesses, non-profits, and major retailers. Prior to her time at DMS, Lindy worked in payroll services, organizational development, HR, people management, billing services, and executive support. She is passionate about bringing order to chaos through administrative support. Her genuine care in assisting others drives her to provide excellence in everything she does.
Lindy earned her Bachelor’s in Communications with a focus in Public Relations from Kennesaw State University. She is originally from the greater Atlanta area and relocated to Akron five years ago. She enjoys traveling, reading, and being outdoors whenever possible.
