Client Profile: Executive Arrangements

One of our clients, Margy Judd, President of Executive Arrangements, says she is living her dream job.

Most days she, or someone from her team of 28 employees, gets to spend the day showing off Cleveland (or Akron) to out-of-town job candidates and their families considering a move to Northeast Ohio. Seeing her city every day thru the eyes of a newcomer who may be experiencing it for the very first time is a great reminder of things we tend to take for granted: fabulous arts/culture/museums, a world class park system, great neighborhood and school options, ethnic and religious diversity that welcomes people from every walk of life, low cost of living, rare traffic jams, a vibrant foodie scene with many independently owned restaurants, and the wonderful blend of Midwestern friendliness and East Coast sophistication that makes our region unique in the country.

A family’s EA experience always includes VIP behind-the-scenes peeks to showcase places that are important to them and meeting community guests who share similar interests and backgrounds (typically transplants themselves). EA’s clients range from the hospital systems to Fortune 500s to entrepreneurial mid-market firms.  Often an EA day in Cleveland is the deciding factor in whether a tough-to-land recruit says yes or no to a job offer and they are proud of their 80% success rate in landing the first choice candidate even if there are competing offers in other cities on the table.

As the battle for top talent continues to escalate (low unemployment, brisk economy, 10,000 Baby Boomers retiring each day), EA expects their business to continue to grow. Here’s a recent Tourist in Your Own Town experience they hosted to thank their loyal clients and celebrate their 39th year in business.
