Tricks, Treats & Cyber Threats
Halloween is all about spooky surprises, but cyber threats are one thing no business wants to encounter.
Cybercriminals are becoming increasingly sophisticated, using phishing emails, fake invoices and fraudulent links to trick people into sharing sensitive information or granting access to accounts. That’s why it’s important to stay vigilant when opening emails, clicking links or downloading attachments, especially if something seems unexpected or creates a sense of urgency.
Strong, unique passwords and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) remain some of the most effective ways to protect your accounts. Even if a password is compromised, MFA provides an additional layer of security that can help keep unauthorized users out.
At DMS, safeguarding client information remains a top priority. We encourage you to take a few moments to review your security practices and stay alert. A little caution today can help prevent a much bigger scare tomorrow.
Stay safe this Halloween, and remember: if something seems suspicious, it’s always worth taking a second look.
