Recent business growth has spurred DMS to hire two new staff accountants and an accounting manager during the last quarter of 2022. Meet our newest DMS team members:
Julie Scalzitti
Our newest Accounting Manager Julie Scalzitti joined DMS on October 31st. Julie has more than 35 years of experience including full charge bookkeeping, tax preparation, and project analysis work in a wide variety of industries and small businesses. She values being part of the DMS team and enjoys building relationships with her clients and working with them on their accounting needs. Julie recently earned a Baking & Pastry Arts degree from Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, NC. She loves a good house rehab project, and spends her free time walking her two goldendoodles and taking adult ballet lessons.
Fun facts: Julie’s first job was at Arthur Treacher’s Fish & Chips, and the subject she never thought she’d be an expert in but can now talk at length about: Protein content in various types of flour.
Sue Haynal
Susan Haynal is a Staff Accountant at DMS. She received her Associate’s degree in Accounting from Lorain County Community Collage and her Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management from Tiffin University. Sue has over 30 years of experience working as an Office Manager, Bookkeeper, and Accountant for a variety of companies, primarily specialty contractors. Sue has three grown children and five grandchildren, and lives in Avon Lake. She enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Fun facts: Sue’s first job was at Sears at Midway Mall in Elyria, as a cashier in the ‘Menswear’ department. And the subject she never thought she’d be an expert in but can now talk at length about: software such as Sage and Foundations.
Rose Schneider
Rose is a DMS Staff Accountant with 25 years of accounting experience. She has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Cleveland State University and an MBA from Baldwin-Wallace University. Rose’s experience includes financial statement preparation, payroll, accounts receivable & payable, budgeting, account reconciliations, consolidations, forecasting and trend analysis. She has spent her career in many industries including not-for-profits, retail, manufacturing, and service industries. Rose lives in Brook Park and enjoys spending time with her family and pets.
Fun facts: Sue’s first job was at Jolly Roger Donuts in Columbus, stocking donuts and waiting on patrons. And the subject she never thought she’d be an expert in but can now talk at length about: art pottery.
